Prisoners Literature Project

Big thanks to Heyday Books – & volunteer needed for book moving!

June 2018  |  Published in Announcements, Latest News

Firstly, a BIG thank-you to Heyday Books for an initial PLP donation of a large amount of excellent books on Native American culture & other great quality literature!

We genuinely appreciate it – please consider buying some of their books to say thank you! The non-profit company “promotes widespread awareness and celebration of California’s many cultures, landscapes, and boundary-breaking ideas”.

Secondly, the second part of the donations from Heyday have arrived. So we’re looking for someone who is free this Friday (June 22nd) from 9am to 2pm to help our chief librarian Bruno grab & transport more books from Heyday’s San Leandro warehouse.

You will be paid hourly for helping too, and will need to be physically strong enough to carry lots of books around. Please mail us at prisonlit@gmail.com if you can help – thanks!
