Special PLP session: come help us on MLK Jr. Day (Jan 15th!)
ANNOUNCE: the Prisoners Literature Project will be holding a special book picking/packing session on MLK Jr. Day (Monday, January 15th!) from 10am to 5pm.

It’ll be at our regular venue, Grassroots House in Berkeley (2022 Blake St!). Info on volunteering here: https://www.prisonlit.org/volunteer/
If you have the day off or are free, come and pack for a couple of hours – we’d love to see you. And we really need the help, since we’ve received as many as 115 letters from prisoners in one day (!!) recently, and are two months behind on replying.
(We’re doing a good job of not getting further behind, but we’d like to catch up some using this special session!) Thanks in advance if you can make it…
Prisoners Literature Project is an inclusive, all-volunteer, grassroots nonprofit whose purpose is to encourage reading, the pursuit of knowledge, and self-determination among incarcerated people. By sending free reading materials to those behind bars, PLP aims to foster learning and critical thinking and help people prepare to lead successful lives after incarceration. We believe that all people have a right to read.
