These book purchases will help us meet the growing requirement for NEW books in many U.S. prisons. We’ve recently been answering a lot of requests from jails in Bakersfield where books must be NEW and must have book covers (or pictures) which do not break their “dress code violation”. We’ve gotten many enthusiastic letters from people at the jail saying they heard we send free books!
It’s a challenge to find allowable books but we are committed to getting books to the many letter writers! (See just a few letters below)
