PLP volunteer meetings over Thanksgiving/Xmas.

NOTE: the PLP’s volunteer session will NOT be meeting _next_ Sunday, November 27th. This is because our Grassroots House colleagues at ISM (the International Solidarity Movement) are holding ‘ISM Olive Oil Party to Benefit Palestinian Farmers and Nonviolent Resistance’ from 10am to 5pm on the 27th.
However, we are meeting as per normal today, November 20th, and on Wednesday evening, November 23rd. And a happy upcoming Thanksgiving to all, of course.
One other note – our meeting scheduled for Sunday, December 25th will not take place because it’s Christmas Day! (However, we are tentatively still planning a meeting for Sunday, January 1st, 2017.)
Prisoners Literature Project is an inclusive, all-volunteer, grassroots nonprofit whose purpose is to encourage reading, the pursuit of knowledge, and self-determination among incarcerated people. By sending free reading materials to those behind bars, PLP aims to foster learning and critical thinking and help people prepare to lead successful lives after incarceration. We believe that all people have a right to read.
