PLP’s Giving Tuesday campaign – help us out, get your donation matched!

As Giving Tuesday (November 28th) approaches, we at the Prisoners Literature Project are launching a special fundraising campaign.
Our volunteer-led efforts to send out much-needed books to prisoners throughout the U.S. have been paying off, with nearly 300 packages per week sent out over the summer!
But our increased postage and ‘special request’ book purchases mean we’re spending more money than usual (letters are up 50% in volume since 2 years ago!), and we really need your support as the year draws to an end.
So we’re announcing that between now and Giving Tuesday, any money you donate will be matched 100% by our friends at Storybundle, up to a total of $2,000. So you’ll be doubling your donation power. (And if you donate $125 or more, we’ll send you one of the new PLP tote bags!)
So please – DONATE TODAY!
Prisoners Literature Project is an inclusive, all-volunteer, grassroots nonprofit whose purpose is to encourage reading, the pursuit of knowledge, and self-determination among incarcerated people. By sending free reading materials to those behind bars, PLP aims to foster learning and critical thinking and help people prepare to lead successful lives after incarceration. We believe that all people have a right to read.
