Prisoners Literature Project: help us make our $3,000 match for #GivingTuesday

It’s time for our annual #GivingTuesday campaign, and we at Prisoners Literature Project have again put together $3,000 in matching funds, so the dollars you donate can be doubled from now until the end of December.

As many of our supporters know, we rely solely on donations from individuals and organizations to continue sending more than 3,000 books to incarcerated folks every single month. Key facts for you:

– PLP is an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff.
– All money goes directly to postage, books and rent for our office and library.
– PLP has been sending books to readers in 50 states for over 40 years now!

Over 50% of prisons require NEW or NEWISH books.  Help us continue to send high quality books to people behind bars.  There are many carceral institutions that lack libraries (or have poorly stocked libraries), and lack relevant education programs.  PLP is making a difference with our efforts as these recent thank you letters attest!

Donate to PLP now!
(Debit cards, credit cards, Venmo and  PayPal accepted – please contact us if you want to donate a different way!)    NOTE: All of your donations are tax-deductible – Prisoners Literature Project is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; EIN# 87-2253705

Twenty-one mail bins await pickup on Monday morning.  They are full of book packages all filled over one weekend.  PLP volunteers are committed to making this happen over and over with your financial help!

Books are “treated like gold!”
